The Swarthmore Fire and Protective Association website was designed to provide a forum for both its members and the surrounding community. The tasks involved included a complete redesign of the website and the establishment of a Perl-based member's section. In recognition of the variety of visitors who would come across it, the site was made with visual candy, including roll-overs with fire department insignia, a random photograph at page load, an image gallery, and even a custom-made banner in recognition of fallen firefighters.
Today, the Swarthmore Fire and Protective Association website is among the premier fire department websites in the area.
